Michael is an Interior Designer II who joined Furnishings and Design in 2018, and he has over fourteen years of professional design experience. He grew up in Birmingham, AL and earned his BS in Human Environmental Sciences/Interior Design from the University of Alabama. Prior to joining UA, he worked at a commercial design firm that focused on hospitality design and procurement.

He enjoys selecting interior finishes and furniture based on his initial programming meetings with clients and campus partners. Client goals are very important to the design process and his primary focus when designing a space. One of the most rewarding aspects of his job is seeing the completed space and the appreciation from the client from a successful collaboration.
