Science & Engineering Renovations
Building History
The 212,000 square foot Science and Engineering Complex was completed in the summer of 2009. The multi-building complex connects to Shelby Hall in the Northeast corner. These buildings were designed to provide specialized research and teaching laboratories, faculty offices, and graduate student offices that support chemical and biological engineering and computer science. Teaming rooms and other collaborative areas are located throughout the facilities to encourage working in groups.
Finishes are consistent from one building to another to provide an identity unique to the Engineering Department. The black and white tile floor is classic in design and reflective of the interior design of the space. The complex includes a quad green space that connects one building to another.
